Richmond Radio Graffiti Board

Because some people can't be trusted with this open forum, the Graffiti board is now closed...
(Someone was linking "inappropriate", un-radio related, naked girl pictures to the board.)
There is now a "Discussion Board" that is located at:

At the present time, no password is required.

"who cares": You need look no further that Times Square to see CC making money off this national tragedy---or are you suggesting that CC is giving this prime ad space away for free? Maybe you can do the legwork on getting CC to free up all those billboards so they can "broadcast" all the warm wishes from all the CC listeners across the country...Do your homework AND your legwork...And sign yourself "Cindy Lou Who Cares" from here on out---you're as naive as she was...

Card to the surviors...Yes! If you worried more about the "cause" than bashing everybody and everything - you would know that Most cards are going to the Mayor and then they will be displayed, possibly in New Yorks cayon of heros! I don't have an address but if you want I can do that foot work for you too! Self serving "CC relief fund" - No more self serving than other radio stations bragging about how much they rasied or they "made". In this time of horror...I would think it even below CC or any other company to do something to benefit others and only thing of how it will make them look better. As they say he who thought, it probably has done it. ie. YOU! The so-called list is bogus. Because I can name about 100 songs that they missed. Welcome to corporate radio, Don't like it you can quit leave!

I was grossed out by the self-promoting "Clear Channel Relief Fund", then the "card to the survivors" (address, please?) to be signed at Sauce-A-Palooza and now this? Looks like most of XL102's playlist has been banned.
Sorry, comments got lost

You've got to be kidding me. St Elmo's Fire? Walk Like An Egyptian? I was grossed out by the self-promoting

I'm back... in an effort to "help" during the current crisis, Cheap Channel has banned the list of songs found at this link. I should warn you that the name of the website might offend the knee-jerk conservatives among you.

Disgusting, isn't it?

No, not the name of the website. The idea of banning a pages-long list of songs because they might offend someone. Cheap Channel has crossed from annoying to dangerous... dangerous because someone might think song-banning is a good idea and take it to our credulous Congress (Fifth Amendment? Bill of Rights? What's that??)...

[sigh]

I refuse to trade the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for a false sense of "security" no government can guarantee. It's that simple. Anyone or anything attempting to curtail either the Constitution or the Bill of Rights should be fought as vigorously as we are going to fight bin Laden and his thugs.

It might be instructive for some people on here to re-read the Bill of Rights -- which our ancestors fought and died for -- before they go giving away the rights contained in it.

On radio: WRVA's "Clear Channel Attack on America" this weekend was frightening. The yahoos and dumbnuts who called in were the lowest of redneck America... between the ones who wanted to blame Clinton for the attack, the ones who wanted to deport all the Arabs, and the ones who wanted to silence freedom of speech to "save our country"... scary as hell.

DS...I was stopped this afternoon pulling into the parking lot of the high school my sons attend. They wanted to know my name and my business. Step on my rights? Yes they did. Was I mad? No, I was relieved that my children were being protected. I wouldn't mind having to show an ID card every time I went to pick them up either. Whatever is necessary to protect my family,my country and my larger freedom. That is what I mean DS.

Yo, DS...what's your point? Are the head of the ACLU? Are you afraid that we will loose our constitutional rights anytime soon? Does having the ACLU on your side make you feel safe against your fellow citizens? Who says that the ACLU is right? Who validates their viewpoint (and yours I suppose) at the expence of the rest if us?
One person shares an interesting insight about the last few days and you take it upon yourself to insult them for sharing with us during these difficult times. Shame on you.
There is not country in the universe that is more free than America. You should praise God each and every day that you live here.

It is obvious to Thor that DS does not know what it is talking about. Thor will approach the head librarian at Henrico and get DS's library card revoked so it can't use a computer anymore. By the way DS Kinko's would be too expensive for you....Thor has spoken, Thor is brave, Thor is wise, Thor thinks DS is full of BS

I don't know if this is one of those things that has been sent around in E-mail a thousand times over, but I just got it and thought I would share. This site has collected some of the most touching photos I have ever seen from around the world of people showing support for America. It seems that we are not just coming together as a country, but as a people. http://www.plur.net/thankyou/index2.html

DS, why are you afraid to sign your name? And please stop referring to me as a Richmond Radio Representative. I retired from radio April 14th, 1999, over a year and a half ago. I am speaking on behalf of myself. Only.

For 225 years, American men and women have given their lives to protect our freedom and civil liberties. Sadly, it is likely that more could do so in the near future as a result of last week. They could be our neighbors, sons, daughters, wifes and husbands. The protection of our civil liberties is paramount. The ACLU should be applauded for their efforts. I find it horrific that apparently some of Richmond radio's representatives would consider the loss of some of those freedoms. It strikes me as terribly ironic considering the relative freedom of the airwaves we have (FCC regulations aside). Those that have sacrificed their lives for this country must be rolling in their graves. Remember the Japanese-American internment camps of WW II? A sad example of the loss of civil liberty all due to paranoia and hysteria. We should not go down that ugly road again. The ACLU stands as a voice to help prevent that. Radio also provides that opportunity.

Here is what I believe. I believe in prayer in schools. If a child wants to pray, no one should have the right to stop him or her. If an entire classroom wants to pray, no one should have the right to stop them. If one of the entire classroom doesn't want to pray, they shouldn't pray. They can read, or leave the room, but shouldn't stop the rest of the class. I believe that we WILL lose some of our freedoms in the after effects of this national tragedy. And I am willing to give up some of my freedoms to keep the country safe. Are you not willing to do what you have to, to keep the country, it's people and it's children safe? The rest of our lives will be faced with trade offs that we never imagined. As long as it keeps America FREE and SAFE, I am willing to give up my small freedoms for the larger ones. If this is bashing, I apologize. That I can have an opinion, is American.
